I have a customer that is running Trend Micro Client Server Security for SMB.  I was having trouble getting RemoteZilla to connect for me yesterday.  I thought the download was just corrupted, but maybe it was more....

Detected As:
PAK_Generic.001
Filename
RemoteZilla[1].exe ($PLUGINSDIR\rzHelper.exe)
Path
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.WINBER-DC01\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\TG9ZGQET\
Scan Type
Real-time Scan
Action Taken
Virus successfully detected, but infected file cannot be quarantined

Has anyone ever run into issues with their customer module being detected as a virus?  I'm trying to figure out how to exclude RZ, but it will always be a different path while downloading.  I'm not sure if there is anything that can be done here, but at the very least this is a heads up for the rest of you.

The rzHelper.exe file was UPX compressed to make the file smaller.  Trend gives false positives on UPX compressed files.  They are supposed to be fixing their defines but they take too long so rzHelper.exe was re-compiled yesterday without the header compression.  Finished testing today and updated the version to 2.1.1.0 build 200910141400.  Your customer module may be a little larger with the update.

OK... 2.1.1.0 build 200910141400, do you see the future that I was going to post?  If I understand your build time stamp your rebuilt RZ before I posted.  Did I happen to be posting about something you were already working on?  Or are you in a time zone behind US Eastern?

Phil, you are starting to scare me here! You're not some kind of witch are you?  hahahaha

I'm a seer...  don't spill your Mountain Dew...

Actually it was already reported. We do regular checks with VirusTotal (it checks the software with 40+ anti-virus programs) and Trend was the only one that reported a problem.
